Conjoined twin influencers die aged 27 after one suffers heart attack

Posted on October 21, 2026

Two Ecuadorian social media stars who shared their lives with hundreds of thousands of followers have died at just 27 years old, leaving their family and online community grieving an unimaginable loss.

José Luis and José Armando Cevallos, who were born conjoined twins, died after both suffered heart attacks while receiving medical care. News of their deaths was shared on their joint Instagram account, where their family wrote: “Their story, their smiles, and their outlook on life left an indelible mark on many hearts.”

The circumstances surrounding the brothers’ deaths were later discussed on the Spanish-language program Y Ahora Sonsoles. Fernando Carrillo, a close friend of the twins, explained that both had been hospitalized after Luis suffered a heart attack, according to LADbible.

Doctors managed to stabilize him, but the situation took another devastating turn just minutes later when his brother also suffered a heart attack. Both men died, according to Carrillo.

Their brother, Damián, also spoke about the family’s grief during the program, saying: “I have no words to describe how my parents feel.”

Shared their lives with hundreds of thousands online

Luis and José Armando built a large following by offering viewers a glimpse into their everyday lives. They hade more than 835,000 followers on TikTok, while their joint Instagram page had surpassed 60,000.

In their final post, on October 12, the brothers shared a workout routine in which they could be seen standing upright with the support of a wall.

Following news of their deaths, followers flooded their accounts with messages expressing sadness and paying tribute to the brothers.

One commenter wrote: “May this candle never go out and guide your souls to the glory of our Eternal Father. Rest in peace,” according to LADbible.

Another person shared their disbelief on Instagram, writing: “I can’t believe it! I recently came across his videos, amazing story.”

“Their legacy will live on”

In a separate tribute shared on Instagram four days before the report of their deaths, the family thanked the people who had supported the brothers throughout their lives.

“We sincerely thank everyone who supported them, believed in them, and was part of every achievement.

“Thank you for accompanying them in making their dreams a reality and for giving them so much love along the way.

“Their legacy will live on in a phrase that always represented them: ‘Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and disability is no impediment to being happy.’”
