Michael Dell appears to have found his own way of responding after his wife, Susan Dell, became the target of cruel comments online.
Rather than directly confronting the people mocking her appearance, the Dell Technologies founder seemingly chose to shift the attention back to why the couple had been in the spotlight in the first place — the families they were trying to help.
Susan Dell attracted widespread attention after appearing alongside her husband and President Donald Trump at the White House, where the couple discussed their $6.25 billion pledge aimed at helping 25 million American children build savings for their futures.
Speaking about the initiative, Susan said: “To every child across the country, these accounts are for you. We believe in you.”

But instead of the conversation remaining focused on the enormous financial commitment, Susan soon found herself being mocked online, with much of the criticism reportedly directed at her appearance and differences in her facial features, particularly around her eyes, cheeks and jawline.
Many people began speculating about whether the mom of four had undergone plastic surgery or other cosmetic procedures.
On X, one user asked, “What is wrong with Susan Dell’s face/eyes?”
The reaction prompted others to come to her defense.
Conservative commentator Mike Cernovich criticized the response, writing on X:
“The Dell family gave 7 billion dollars directly to American children.
“And instead of gratitude, there’s much discussion of a 62-year-old woman’s looks.”
Conservative commentator Mike Cernovich was among those who came to Susan’s defense, criticizing the attention being paid to her appearance rather than the couple’s contribution.
“The Dell family gave 7 billion dollars directly to American children.
“And instead of gratitude, there’s much discussion of a 62-year-old woman’s looks.”
Susan also received public support from Eric Trump, who condemned the attacks in a strongly worded post.
“People are awful. Susan and Michael Dell just put $6.25 billion into Trump Accounts for 25 million kids so they’ll have something waiting for them when they grow up—one of, if not the largest private donation in American History.

“The response? Vicious attacks on her.
“I’m tired of this nonsense. Very few people have done more for philanthropy. It’s disgusting and it has to stop.
“Susan, on behalf of the overwhelming majority of people in this nation: Thank You!! You are incredible!”
Michael’s approach was noticeably quieter. He didn’t trade insults or directly address the comments about his wife. Instead, he highlighted the people thanking the Dell family — seemingly making his point without saying much at all.
He began sharing messages of gratitude from people who said their children had benefited from the initiative, effectively turning the attention away from the insults aimed at his wife and back toward the impact of their contribution.
One parent, using the name Wingfoot on X, wrote: “I signed my kids up and wasn’t expecting to get anything as we live in a wealthy country and city.
“Out of the blue $250 showed up from Dell for both of my boys. I will go out of my way to support them now, who else has”.
Michael also shared what appeared to be handwritten thank-you letters from children.
One read: “Dear Dell Family, Thank you for the money in my Trump bank account. I’m very glad to be saving for my future.”
Another child wrote: “I’m grateful for the money you added to my Trump account, Thank you for helping me save for my future.”
In other words, rather than answering the personal attacks directly, Michael appeared to let the messages from families speak for themselves.
